Death is not Dying

Today is the one year anniversary of my Grandaddy's homecoming. We miss him sorely but look with great expectation to reuniting with him one day in the presence of our Maker. Heaven seems so real now and I CAN'T WAIT to get to glory!!  Love you, Grandaddy!

"It is not death to die
To leave this weary road
And join the saints who dwell on high
Who've found their home with God
It is not death to close
The eyes long dimmed by tears
And wake in joy before Your throne
Delivered from our fears

O Jesus, conquering the grave
Your precious blood has power to save
Those who trust in You
Will in Your mercy find
That it is not death to die

It is not death to fling
Aside this earthly dust
And rise with strong and noble wing
To live among the just
It is not death to hear
The key unlock the door
That sets us free from mortal years
To praise You evermore

O Jesus, conquering the grave
Your precious blood has power to save
Those who trust in You
Will in Your mercy find
That it is not death to die"

  1. oh Meghan. Can it really be a year?! Wow.
I know ya'll are grateful for the time you got to spend with him, and know you miss him.
I love that song! Such beautiful words and truths. We got out that CD the other day, and started listening to it. I stole it and put it in my car and enjoy listening to it when I'm driving :)
    Much love!

  2. Thanks so much, Lindsey! We spent the day in Auburn, with my Grandmother and were able to visit the new Auburn High Track Field which is named in his honor! It was a bittersweet day... thanks for thinking about us:-)
God is good... all the time!
